Positano
We did a tour today, offered by the military base. A bus takes us to the ferry, which then takes us to Positano. We had a guide with us on the bus, who offered us Italian history along the way. He also shared a bit about Positano and the Amalfi Coast, once we arrived to Positano. Then it was a couple hours on our own, to explore the area. The kids and I walked around, to include 500 stairs, and then we had lunch, before it was time to get back on the ferry. The Amalfi Coast is absolutely beautiful, with the colorful homes built into the hills, but what I loved even more was how you could see some of the Roman ruins along the shoreline. Absolutely amazing! I had considered staying overnight somewhere along the Amalfi Coast. I'm glad I didn't because I think the kids would have been bored -- lots of shopping and eating. Once back on base, it was time to switch hotels.
