Fushimi Inari Torii Gates

Just a very small few of the Torii gates at the Fushimi Inari Shrine in Kyoto. Even though we weren't able to hike to the top, due to the cold, rain and having no umbrellas, I was absolutely blown away by this historic wonder. Typically there is one Torii gate at the entrance of a Shrine. Here, there is an estimated 10,000 donated Torii gates, in all different sizes, dating all the way back to 711 A.D.
